A RECENT STUDY PUBLISHED in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society predicts the planet's oceans will evaporate in just one billion years. This is not the result of global warming, but rather, the natural effect of our planet being pulled toward an increasingly large sun.

My thoughts exactly, Wolfie. Big news for those who plan to live another billion years.

If we haven't figured out how to move on by then, shame on us for playing dumb.

      Thanks for the chuckles, mghwom.

          Only a billion years.

          No problem.

Does Al Gore know about this?

Maybe Al could win another science prize for discovering the effects of planetary mass and gravity(I think Sir Isaac Newton and others of his historical period was on to this idea that the greater the planetary mass the greater the effect of gravity and also I think Albert E and friends talked about how large masses in space 'curved' the local space/time continum thereby creating 'gravity wells'; but I'm sure that can be overlooked if Al gets involved because he will just show up and know it's true.) as it relates to Global Warming.

The oceans will boil way before then, if we don't stop polluting!

What happens a billion years from now falls just below what Al Gore thinks in my list of things to worry about.
