I always thought one of America's founding principles was inclusion and tolerance of many kinds of people holding all kinds of opinions. Maybe you should start another country somewhere far away.

For the last 16 years, I've heard nothing from the left except demonization of the right. For the last 8, they've been focusing on the "neocons". Evidently, what you always thought wasn't shared by the majority to my left.

If you've heard nothing since 1992 except demonization of the right, you simply haven't been paying attention. Whose rhetoric was behind that contract on America? Whose demonization of whom resulted in Clinton's impeachment? Who's been calling anyone who disagrees with them on terror unpatriotic and anti-American?
Here's a hint--it's not the left.

Go ahead and wait in your fortified bunker. In fact, why not start your own country for the handful of "real Americans" as you see them. Write your own Constitution that includes the 2nd amendment but not the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th, just as you've argued for out here so many times. And you can build a heavily guarded wall that will keep everyone who doesn't agree with you out.
In fact, why don't you and your citizens live in a bunker?

FYI,This is my country, and I intend to fight for it. Unfortunately, you and yours are out to ruin it. When the vast majority finally see you for what you are, when they see that the scapegoats you've conjured up for your failed programs aren't really to blame, then America will be free of you....for all time.
The right wing began a series of investigations covering all financial transactions the Clintons were involved in for 15 to 20 years. When they could find nothing prosecutable, they turned to investigating rumors from the Drudge Report and from Linda Tripp. Then they finally "caught" Bill lying about a personal affair that was uncovered in the course of the 4-year fishing expedition conducted by Congress.
If that doesn't constitute a conspiracy, I don't know what does.
But never mind that. Go ahead and fight us "anti-American" left-wingers who are ruining the country by trying to return it to the priorities of the founders--freedom, tolerance, liberty, equality, justice.
You'll never rid the country of us. Your values are radically different from those upon which the nation was created, and fortunately, there are very few who agree with you.
Just don't fight us "preemptively"--if an individual does that rather than our government, it's called assault, or perhaps murder.

Face it, cherev--the polls ALL show there are more that think you and others who believe in tearing down civil liberties are out of the mainstream, and would like to see a return to basic American values like the ones the country was founded on. You can bloviate about Nazis all you like and deny that the qualities I listed are not what the U.S. stands for, but you have nothing to back up that assertion.
Calling me anti-American, or non-human, because I don't agree with you only proves my point about how out of touch you are with basic concepts of justice and fairness that even 5-year-olds understand--at least those 5-year-olds who don't grow up to be psychopaths.

If you had any imagination what a misguided remark that is in terms of my personal history you'd drop kick yourself off a high building out of shame and embarrassment.
How many people have to go to jail including a Governor before it is not a failed investigation. Rose Law firm billing papers show up in the private part of the White House. Travel gate caused by firing the wrong travel people. Such competence. Accused of womanizing all along and after in the White House of rape. Perjury and conspiracy to commit perjury is just lying.
Then all Democrats gather round and circle the wagons.
Nixon was shown to know about the break in sometime after it happened and tried to cover it up. Republican told him to hit the road.

The point was that the original investigation turned up nothing prosecutable about the Clintons. It was only after the investigations were extended again and again into completely unrelated areas that they "got" him--and what they got him for was lying about an issue that wasn't included in the scope of the original investigation, one that they really had no business investigating, and one that had no effect on the operations of the country. In other words, it was a fishing expedition, as I said.
As to which party has the ethics, please. It's an issue I don't care to debate, since there's enough corruption on BOTH sides of the aisle that it'd be a pointless debate. I've never said all Republicans are corrupt, and I've never said that no Democrats are. There are individual members of both parties who are entirely above-board in all their doings.
