Rhetoric has been so ugly for years, I'm not surprised someone would use 'pimped out' without a thought to its implication.

Talk about your chilling effects on free speech. A guy makes an offhand comment, Hillary's campaign makes a big deal about it, and now the guy is suspended?

If I had been in charge at the network, I would have said, "Hey, you want to grandstand and threaten that you won't come on NBC/MSNBC and debate Obama? No problem, we'll give all the airtime to Obama instead..."

Clearly Mr. Shuster went over the line in using that term. I don't really understand where he was coming from with his comments. Chelsea is 28 years old...she has every right to campaign for her mother. If she did not want to do it, I am confident she would not be out there.

As far as being suspended for it...I am a little surprised.

Is this another Hillary Moment? Do not use your husband and your daughter in the political arena and expect them to still be treated as "hands off". If he had said she was being used as a political shill, that would have been correct. And this was MSNBC, not Fox.

I agree this is a bit of a stretch. This term is used more and more as not just a euphamism for prostitution but anyone being "used" by another for that person's gain.

Obviously, a little too vulgar for MSNBC. I thought it was pretty funny.

I wonder what the reaction would be if he made the same statement about Oprah?
