I'm surprised that Marvel Comics hasn't sued for this concept. Their X-men comic book, and numerous spin offs, have had characters exhibiting ALL of the heroes powers. I would not be surprised to find out that the creators of Heroes were avid X-men fans in their youth.

  Ummm... considering the recent Stan Lee cameo I doubt that very much. It is exec produced by Jeph Loeb as well...
  I bet that Michael Jordan was an avid fan of basketball in his youth.
